The night of the Arts

The night of the Arts in Helsinki offered for example "Animals visiting the city" -workshop. A nice band played some music for the queuers. Aaron loved to listen to it. We got an eagle home with us.

(As you can see in one of the photos- Aaron has finally learned to walk!)

Helsingin Taiteiden yö tarjosi mm Eläimet kylässä- työpajan. Kiva bändi soitteli jonottajille odotusmusiikkia. Aaron tykkäsi siitä kovasti. Me saatiin kotka mukaan kotiimme.

At the country

We spent the weekend at Pyhtää. Aaron enjoys the time at the countryside.

There´s plenty of things to see around Pyhtää. This time we visited Stockfors Groundwood. The old factory is worth visiting by itself but there are also some interesting art exhibitions around. 

The exhibition "Afganistan" consists amazing photos from Afganistan by Marko Laukkanen and paintings by Virpi Ekman. Virpi tells me that the exhibition will be open every tue-sun 11-17 until 16.8.2011. Check it out!

Kalasatama and Ihana Kahvila

There´s so much to see at Kalasatama area! All the graffiti art and a cute cafe Ihana Kahvila with a hammock and a view towards the sea.

Kalasataman alueella on tosi paljon nähtävää! Hienoa graffititaidetta seinäkaupalla ja söpö pieni konttikahvila nimeltään Ihana Kahvila, siellä on riippumatto ja merinäköalakin.
